Malcolm X Birthday what it means today by Haki Ammi
Malcolm X Day which should be a National Holiday or at least a Baltimore City recognition. Born May 19th 1925 Malcolm was born Malcolm Little. Spending his early years in school as an orphan he later went to prison at the age of 20 for Larceny. It was there that Malcolm begin his awakening from the ignorance that society had set up for him and learned of how he was tricked into a life of crime and drugs. Why is Malcolm X story so significant? It is significant because many young people fall down this path. We are in a time where our Leaders are minimized and marginalized for their resistance to oppression as Malcolm X witnessed which drove his passion later for Justice.
Malcolm while in Prison went through a reformation process from not using drugs, alcohol and cleaning up his diet. All attributes he learned from studying with members of the Nation of Islam under the teachings of Elijah Muhammad.
Recently in Annapolis via Carl Snowden and the African American Caucus there was a Play entitled "The Meeting" Malcolm X meets Martin performed by three Baltimore Based Actors. It was a fictitious account of what a conversation would have looked like between Malcolm and Martin. The scene was 1965 in Harlem. Malcolm invited Dr. King to meet with him and Dr. King came to Harlem and met with him. This play has been around for years though many of the issues that we have fought, bled and died for still exist to this day.
Each year around this time of the year many wonder at 92 what would have been the Evolution of Malcolm X. Would have be more into Islam and the Universal principles of Islam? Would he have sought an Elected Office? Would he have continued to go to the UN and meet with Foreign Leaders? This author has interview key scholar Dr. Latif Tarik Professor at Coppin State University who wrote his Dissertation on Malcolm theorizes that with the growth of Islam in this Country Malcolm would have more than likely continued to be an advocate for Oppressed people rights. There are many Malcolm X related activities taking place all over the DMV. We owe it now after 8 years of President Obama and now in the new Era of 45 we owe it to ourselves and our community to reevaluate our relationships with this society and ask the question where are we going and what leaders are going to get us there. Support your local educational events dealing with Malcolm X. Several key leaders will be speaking on this in Baltimore Dr. Jared Ball Professor of Communications at Morgan State University who wrote extensively on Malcolm and Dr. Zak Kondo who authored a book on Malcolm X Assassination.

National Portal Article
When we study the many greats speakers, teachers, workers, organizers and thinkers who have achieved various levels of success Many think of Frederick Douglass, Malcolm X, Reginald F. Lewis, Barack Obama and many more. These are all who our young people have to look up to since many young African American men in this society may not have examples of Black men in their homes. Haki Ammi the Success Scholar hails out of Baltimore, MD. Being born and raised in Baltimore could be and have been a blessing and a curse for me. Not knowing many of these great thinkers the most one may be exposed to is the Black History month favorites that we hear and read about.
Haki Ammi is the Best Selling Author of Mission Unstoppable Extraordinary Stories of Failures Blessings a Best Selling Co Authored book with Les Brown and Dr. George C. Fraser. This didn't come without struggle. Around age 17 I almost lost my life over Baltimore street foolishness. The lesson that I learned from this was to never allow for someone to dictate the circumference of your mind and your association.
After this life changing event I realized that things were rather serious and I needed not stay in the same place with the same mindset. As I reflected how sometimes one must get away from an environment in order to change. That has been one of my mantle to transform. You see some people can change just through their mindset while others need a physical change. I opted to physically change since I thought I didn't have the strength to change my mindset at that time. I opted to go in the U.S. Navy.
While in the navy I discovered that there still was yet another level to achieve. Just having a job or a "good government" job is not the absolute standard bearer for my destiny. So what does one need to get to another level via wealth, employment or career? You need knowledge. I didn't just accept what some thought for me was "a better life" or a "good job". I always wanted more so in order to create more you must take action. I took action with knowledge. From age 20 to 31 I read 100 books a year for 11 years. This may not sound great to many of my Super Empowered National Portal Readers though when I learned another great Trainer and Speaker Tony Robbins read 100 books a year for 7 years I realized I was onto something.
Entrepreneurship has always been in my spirit. I've always felt I could overcome my life challenges though sometimes you don't know what you don't know. Therefore, Not only do I encourage reading though we also must attend conferences, workshops and watch educational shows and create multiple cash flows.
After being involved with several Network Marketing Companies the training has been awesome. I realized though that being Conscious and coming from a History of Economic inequalities that are real I needed to have a Cultural and Historic lens of how I got where I am and where I am going.
Attending the Powernetworking Conferences for the past 4 years I was able to hear the best and brightest entrepreneurs in the country. By Co Authoring a Best Selling Book with Les Brown and Dr. George C. Fraser I realized that I have an even brighter future if I execute to a higher level. Currently I Co Host a radio show each and every monday 8 to 9 PM EST. on www.elifemedia.net I'm speaking more and more while hosting monthly workshops. Looking forward to connecting with many amazing viewers and readers of the National Portal.

Stock Marketing Investing ethics.
I always wondered why persons that are talking about Investing in Stocks or the Stock Market do they have "value" based investing? Meaning not just trying to make a buck. I do not desire to support any Corporation i.e. Tobacco, Alcohol, Prison companies, Fast "Crack" food industry, Pharmaceutical Gangsters, Medical Mafia or companies that destroy the environment and pollute the planet.
Please have some values, discernment, discretion, consciousness when you talk about making money. Not all money is good money. I know some just desire to be Capitalist and simply concerned about profits. Be a Conscious Consumer and Conscious Investor. I also wonder will some of these "Money Makers" promote investing in the B.E. 100 Companies?

Welcome: Benefits of becoming an Author.
Writing a non-fiction book is the most important marketing strategies for professionals and experts.
A book that is written with purpose can serve your business like no other marketing vehicle out there.
Here are a few reasons to illustrate, how a book can help you meet your business goals:
1) A book is the ultimate brochure – it promotes your services and business and gets you FREE publicity. Most important of all, it gets you more ideal and high quality clients and it gets you also a lot of new referrals and more business – period!
2) Sense of achievement.
3) It makes you an Authority in your industry – professors in colleges are pressured to publish books to further their teaching careers. The phrase “publish or perish” means professors who do not publish books will lose their place and not advance in their faculty. This term is also being used in business now because business owners who publish a book are perceived differently from those who don’t.
4) It makes you stand out among your competitors – Being seen and heard is the key to getting out.
5) It gives you new sources of income – you’ll get paid more for speaking engagements and you’ll have opportunities to sell your book at the back of the room, but if you play your cards right and turn your book into a digital training product, coaching and mentorship programs to boost your sales and substantially increase your revenues.
5) It helps you generate a new source of passive income – that can potentially be endless. Becoming a Bestselling author opens up new income streams that are easy to maintain and yet still brings in solid income that allows you to sustain yourself for years to come.
There are a large percentage of books published every year that have not made a single dime for the author. They are unknown to the majority of people out there. They have never been sold in bookstores in large quantities nor have they been sold in large quantities anywhere else!
With a little strategic marketing, you’ll be able to sell copies of your book, but with some focused AND strategic marketing, you can take that book to the top of the charts and change your financial future.
Even if you have published with an established publisher, it does not guarantee that you will become a bestseller. In fact, 95% of book writers sell less than 500 books even though they have a publisher and their books are in major bookstores! The Success Scholar has sold over 700.
There’s a recipe to becoming a bestselling author and it often steams to becoming a masterful marketer!

Steve Harvey on Las Vegas Gambling.
I just happen to be flipping through the radio yesterday as I was riding around and I stopped on Steve Harvey. I rarely listen to him though he was explaining how to get a free drinks in Las Vegas via some "players card". Something as well about getting free hotel rooms for those that have this card. For those that may not know I'm simply against gambling. I consider it a mind numbing waste of time and not good use of my capitol. Not even for socializing or "having fun"
I happen to see the damage that gambling does. I've seen the long lottery lines and I happen to have gone to one of the Casino's for an event "against my judgement". To see people there all day and night instead of studying and working is a drain on the Economy creates more ignorance and desperation within society. Now that Maryland has gambling I know more lost souls will continue to go down the drain with poverty and crime up.
